The Preservation Process
Your bouquet holds the memory of a milestone—a curation of beauty and emotion unique to your day. The flower pressing & preservation journey honours this narrative, taking the delicate blooms you once carried and guiding them through slow, archival processes.
From the moment of securing your date to final framing, discover the quiet, dedicated process of how your fleeting florals are encapsulated into a botanical artwork.
01| Securing the Date
Every bouquet is granted individual, artisanal attention, and so I only accept a limited number of commissions each week.
To ensure your wedding flowers have a dedicated place in my studio, reserving your wedding date in advance is highly recommended. A non-refundable £75 deposit is required to secure your booking, which is fully credited toward your final artwork.
02 | From Alter to Studio
Your bouquet will be personally collected by myself from your wedding venue on the wedding day or following morning, removing all logistical worry from your celebration.
Handled with loving care, your flowers are brought directly to the studio and pressed immediately to ensure they are preserved in their finest form.
03 | Pressing and Preserving
Your bouquet is gently deconstructed. Every single stem, leaf, and petal is assessed and prepared before being delicately placed into a traditional flower press.
Over several weeks of quiet observation, moisture is slowly removed, setting the unique form and character of each individual flower.
04 | Designing Your Artwork
Guided instinctively by the natural movement and texture of the pressed flora, the composition is intentionally formed on a high-quality backing of your choice.
Each element, perfectly harmonised to curate an artwork, entirely unique to you.
05 | Hand Finishing & Framing
Your artwork is secured with archival bonding is encased in a premium solid wood frame, handmade right here in Cornwall by, Heron Framing.
Finished with gallery-grade glazing, your artwork is protected from UV sunlight and natural elements, built to endure for decades.
